Top 3 Things To Do In Fuerteventura
Updated: May 23
We all love travelling and one of the best bits about being in a new environment is getting to visit interesting places and experience new activities. Our surf and yoga retreats are held in some of the most desirable places around the world with surf lessons and yoga flows happening daily. Our day's off are a great opportunity to discover and explore the unique places we find ourselves in.
Our Fuerteventura retreat is no exception with marine biologist guided whale and dolphin watching boat trips to amazing cosmic guided star gazing adventures at night. The sunny volcanic island of Fuerteventura has so many amazing experiences, so here's our Wild & Free Adventures top picks.
1- Lobos Island Adventure
Lying just off the coast of Fuerteventura and visible from our sea front villa is the tiny volcanic island and nature reserve of Los Lobos. Relaxing catamaran trips sail daily across to Los Lobos from Corralejo harbour. There are morning or afternoon sailings available. The morning sailing offers free drinks and Spanish tapas whilst the afternoon offers cava and fresh fruit. The sailing is 4 hours long and includes a speed boat ride onto the island of Lobos where you can take a Stand Up Paddle Board adventure or dive beneath the surface for some snorkelling action to spot the abundant local marine life.

2 - Star Gazing Adventure
One of the first things everyone notices on their first visit to the island of Fuerteventura is how magnificent the skies look at night. Imagine a sky bursting with stars, observing the craters of the Moon, the bands of Jupiter, the rings of Saturn, or seeing the Milky Way for the first time. Stars By Night Fuerteventura offer amazing night time trips. Why not become an astro tourist for the evening and explore the night sky with your camera or join the Twilight Walk. This ancient volcanic island in the Atlantic Ocean has some of the best skies in the world to observe the night sky!
3 - Whale and Dolphin watching
The waters of Fuerteventura and Lanzarote have treasure in its depths. This rich biodiversity hosts the presence of numerous species of cetaceans such as dolphins, whales, sperm whales and beaked whales, among other marine mammals. Take a boat ride from Corralejo harbour and learn from an expert marine biologist and find out why these amazing creatures frequent these islands waters.
