Service Description

This session is a restorative practice and a blend of Yin Yoga and Restorative Yoga, but the main focus is Yin. Yin is a passive practice, designed to release tension in the body and free up blocked energy. This practice is great to restore the body & mind, as well as improve flexibility and circulation. It is different to a regular Yang/active class, where we use the muscles, instead this practice and the poses are predominately floor based and we are working with the connective tissues, like facia, ligaments and joints, which are different to muscles. Whereas muscles that are 'elastic' in nature and enjoy repetitive movement and heat, the connective tissues are more 'plastic' on nature. So poses are held for longer periods of time, allowing the body to open and release and to allow more time to get into these connective tissues that need more time to respond and release. Yin Yoga is based on Chinese Traditional Medicine and focuses on restoring balance within the body and we work with the Meridian lines ('energy lines') within the body (similar to 'Nadis' in Yang practice) and organ health. So often the theme for a class is based on organs and emotions associated with that organ. The concept is to find our ‘soft edge’ and often referred to a 'the Goldilocks position' (not too little and not too much) and find stillness in a pose. By holding poses for longer (typically 3-5mins) this gives us the opportunity to really tune inwards, connect to sensations within the body and 'observe' whats going on, on the inside. Yin enables us more time and space and the opportunity to tune into the energetic and subtle aspects of our yoga practice. It truly is a blissful & mindful practice...but I maybe bias as I love Yin! Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 2 hours before your class starts and reschedule within your plan or package policy rules. * Single class bookings can be rescheduled to another day * Weekly or Monthly or Packs or Packages can be rescheduled, but ONLY within the period of time the package is valid for. For example if your package is 1 month/4 sessions and there are only 4 sessions available within this month, it will not be able to be carried over outside of this month/period (as per policy when booking). So not forget to re book before your plan expiry date. For Private 1 to 1 sessions different cancelation & rescheduling policies apply, please get in touch. If you wish to cancel your Yoga Warrior subscription you can do this from your account yourself or you can contact us in writing via email and we will deactivate the card payment.
