Accommodation

There is plenty of accommodation in and around Polzeath for varying budgets and there are too many to list here. Airbnb is always the best place to start and there are also hotels in Polzeath. There is also a great campsite opposite the beach called The Valley: https://www.valleycaravanpark.co.uk/

Having heard your feedback, we know most of you have sorted your accommodation. However, if anyone requires any help please do get in touch with Joe on 07747632020.

Getting there

Surfside is in the centre of Polzeath and right on the beach so very easy to find. You do need to walk across the beach to access it.

If you are driving to Polzeath, please use the car parks in the surrounding area. You will need to pay for these and they are very accurate on timing, so please ensure you put sufficient funds on the ticket. Most car parks are on the Just Park app and take cards.

If your accommodation is not within walking distance of the beach please do organise taxis in advance as they may need to come from Wadebridge. Some contacts are as follows:

Pityme Taxis can be contacted at 01208 862212 or 07792 633150

MJ Taxis can be contacted at 07915 169902

What to wear

Think surf side beach chic. Something comfortable that you can dance in and also go for a beach walk in. Remember to bring something warm for the evening and a waterproof if the weather doesn't hold.

The weekend

We have scheduled the wedding party to be on a Friday as we know many of you will be travelling a long way to come and celebrate with us. This means that we also have the full weekend ahead of us after the party.

We will also be doing some beach activities on the Saturday including some yoga, surfing (for those who want to catch a wave) and also we will be organising some time slots in the local beach side Wild Spa.

If you are around on the Saturday and want to be involved in these activities please get in touch using our form here. Please RSVP by 1st June 2025 with your preferences for activities.

This is the beach side Wild Spa where we will be at on the Saturday:

Gifts

We understand that everything is challenging for us all at the moment and that you all have a long way to come and expenses to join us and celebrate in Cornwall. Your attendance is so important to us and all we need as a gift. This is everyone's opportunity to be together and celebrate so we do not expect any gifts.

If you do however wish to do something, then a small contribution to our honeymoon fund would be extra special but certainly not necessary. If you wish to do this then please use the PayPal account here or alternatively Revolut account here. Thank you so very much.

Q&A

What time should I arrive?

2pm

Are kids welcome?

Think of this more as a party rather than a traditional wedding and your opportunity to catch up with family and old friends so expect a long day with great music and lots of dancing! We want everyone to enjoy themselves so leaving the rug rats at home will give you the perfect chance to let your hair down and go Wild & Free!

Where should I park?

There are two large car parks adjacent to Polzeath Beach, just follow the signs. Our advice is to use the one behind Annes Cottage surf shop. If you use the one on the beach, make sure you don't park too close to the sea if it is a high tide. Please do ensure you put enough money on the ticket as we have been caught out here before.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Hopefully the weather will be fine and warm with a fantastic sunset. However, please do prepare for it being cool and possibly wet. There is plenty of covered and indoor space at Surfside if Mother Nature is not on our side that day so don't worry we will be protected.

What type of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?

Surfside is on the beach and we will be doing plenty of dancing so wear something comfortable. High heels are not advised (Boyz). Flip-flops, trainers and flat shoes will all be fine.

How do I get home?

Hahahaha... if you are not staying in Polzeath, please do book your taxis in advance. There are some numbers and details above. Please do not leave this till the day. Uber does not service Polzeath.

What is the food situation?

The BBQ will be served from 4.30pm and there will be some light snacks and cake later in the evening. Please do have a good breakfast and lunch before you arrive.

Is there phone signal?

Yes and you should also be able to get 4G. No 5G I am afraid yet in Polzeath.

Are dogs allowed?

Polzeath Beach is closed to dogs from 10am to 6pm until the 30th September so please leave your furry friend at your accommodation or at home. If you are bringing your dog down, there are plenty of other beaches open to dogs in the area. Unfortunately our dog Flo will not be there.
