Service Description
Unlock the secrets of basic gut health on this 1/2 Day Cooking & Yoga Retreat. Life can be busy and taking care of ourselves, including what we eat, can get put to one side. We are offering you the opptunity to join us for morning exploring simple ways to improve our overal health, through yoga, breathwork and taking a close look at what we put in our bodies. They say the gut is like our second brain! Discover why fermentation is a powerful tool for gut health and learn practical skills in fermenting your own foods. This hands-on workshop will not only teach you the methods of fermenting but also explain the importance of maintaining a healthy gut through natural processes. As well we will enjoy a lovely morning yoga session to open our hearts, breathwork and a revistisling 'dip' in the natural outdoor salt water pool. This 1/2 Day retreat is about exploring some simple techniques to take care of ourselve from the inside out! This retreat will be held at the tranquil and beautful Old Rectory, North Devon. A perfect place to escape the busyness of life! You'll have time to take a stroll and enjoy the lush gardens and enjoy lunch al fresco! DETAILS: A summary of 'What's Included': - Yoga with Amanda - Fermenting Workshop - Tea, coffee and refreshments throughout - Light lunch & Snacks - Outdoor pool and Gardens (bring your swimsuit!) - All yoga equipment (some things required for workshop - *see below*) Useful info / What to bring: - Yoga will be for ALL levels - Yoga Equipment provided - but as always bring your own if you prefer ;0) - Comfortable clothing for yoga and layers for relaxation. - Bring swimwear & towel for enjoying the outdoor pool! - Comfortable clothing for yoga and layers for relaxation. COOKING WORKSHOP: - Bring your own 250ml jar to take home your kimchi. - Bring your own apron; fermentation can be a messy process! - Bring your own knife for a better, sharper option if preferred. ***All other equipment will be provided*** - Approx' 5hrs to start around 9am and finish around 1.30-2pm (so you have the rest of your day!) - Anyone with allergies or dietary requirements plsget in touch to discuss (we cater for most dietary requirements and any questions - please do get in touch) * £5 discount for locals and regular students (or if you book by 30th Aug!) * 10% discount for 'Yoga Warrior Members'!* * More information and Directions/Address will be sent along with health form, more details via email upon booking*
Cancellation Policy
Half Day Retreats are paid in full (unless agreed otherwise in advance with Amanda in writing) and are non refundable. Once you have booked you will need to complete a health form and inform Amanda of any dietary requirements and health conditions. If food and meals are part of the retreat, you will be asked about your dietary requirements which will be catered for where possible but you are still responsible for ensuring that you take full responsibility for any allergies, intolerances as well as practice safely with your yoga practice and listen to your body.
