The Destination

The weekend will be an adventurous journey with like minded people, to explore your wild and free nature, with a mix of activities. Starting your day with energising and revitalising yoga, tuning in with your body and connecting mind, body and soul. We’ll eat nutritious and nourishing food, learn to eat mindfully and enjoy every mouthful, taking time to understand the science behind metabolism and the benefits of eating slowly. Take stimulating walks in the wild Devon countryside by day and night. You’ll learn mindfulness techniques, to incorporate into your everyday life and share with family and friends. Explore the health benefits of breathing practices and the power of oxygen, to assist things like insomnia and anxiety. Finish your day with blissful and restorative yoga classes, to calm your soul with Meditation, Yoga Nidra and more!

Your Yoga and Mindfulness weekend will be spent in the luxury of the unspoilt North Devon countryside, staying at The Old Rectory.  A beautiful 19th century Country House surrounded by lush greenery, in the heart of nature, with stunning views and walks (on your doorstep). Set in 5 acres of landscaped gardens and 14 acres of river meadows, nestled between Exmoor and Dartmoor. The Old Rectory offers 12 stylish luxury bedrooms all with ensuite bathrooms (private and shared options available). An elegant dinning area and relaxing sitting room with a lovely open fire.

You’ll be fed delicious and nutritious, freshly prepared meals, to nurture and nourish your soul, by our private chef. As well as get the opportunity to create your own healthy (sugar substitute) snacks to make at home for family and friends.

Yoga & Mindfulness

Your yoga practice will be a journey of discovery as we connect with the breath and true nature to find our inner wild. You will be taught by our Wild & Free yoga teacher Amanda and each class will be an exploration of mindfulness and breathing techniques, tapping into your intuition, encouraging wellbeing, positivity and balance within daily life.

As well as lots of wonderful yoga, you'll get creative and learn how to craft your own natural, non toxic skincare product from scratch, picking available herbs from nature in the garden, harnessing the essence of nature for total emotional wellbeing.  You will head out into nature by day and night, explore night walking and star gazing in the magical deepest, darkest Devon, where the stars shine bright in the unpolluted Devon night sky. 

Spend your free time as you choose, relax in the sitting room with a good book, go for an invigorating dip in the outdoor pool. Make use of the gym in the house. Take a walk in nature and explore one of the many beautiful walks in the surrounding area or garden. The grounds offer endless places to explore for your own meditation, mindful walks or just a simple stroll. This beautiful location offers a nurturing and comfortable environment, to unwind and 'switch off'. The house is full of beautiful art, with an amazing selection of books to read by the fire or the luxury of your room.

 

 Re-connect with your true nature in a nurturing and loving environment.  If you're a total beginner yogi then Amanda will guide you through the basics allowing you to access as many poses as possible.

 

You'll leave feeling inspired with tools to take away into to incorporate into your daily routine and bring more mindfulness in to your daily life. 

“What I love about The Old Rectory is that it can house a lot of different energies all at the same time.  For the energetic there is a small gym, gorgeous walks and tennis courts, a salt water swimming pool for the brave) and an infra-red sauna for sore muscles.  For those that simply like to relax between sessions, there are plenty of  quiet, inspiring spaces, amazing books and stunning gardens to meander in. Prices - 

Private Room for 1 -   £595 single occupancy

Luxury private room all to yourself with double bed, ensuite 

 

 

 

Private Room for 2 - £1100 double occupancy

Luxury private room to share with your partner or friend with double bed, ensuite

Dates - Please arrive on Friday in time for an evening yoga class and dinner. The retreat will finish on Monday after a morning yoga class or surf and breakfast. 

 

Deposit - If you wish to reserve your place a 25% deposit is required. The remaining payment can then be paid in full 2 months prior to the retreat. Please contact us for this option.
